Word I have is a buyer came in and was trying to get financing to buy the whole operation...

"Jbirds" knows a lot more than I do, but last time we talked, they "T's", was trying to look for ways to piece out parts of their operation...

So all that equipment might still be up for grabs...

That should make for some interesting stuff for the reloading crowd here...

I have heard more than once that all their stuff is being purchased by Memorial Oaks shooting center off I-10. I've not had an opportunity to confirm it though. I have a friend who has the resources to buy them out but he was told they'd already made arrangements to dispose of their inventory and equipment.

Pat and Roy had been talking about retiring for some time, as had been discussed here. I had heard that the prospective buyers were the owners of Top Gun. Whether that is correct or Memorial Oaks, I don't know.

At the Reliant show last weekend, I asked a Texas City gunsmith what happened. This is what I was told.

Whoever it was, apparently they were only able to finance enough to buy T's building and not enough to buy his entire operation. If that is the case, I have no idea why they would have continued.

So they now own the building with T's equipment still inside and someone gets the bright idea to start charging Roy rent.

Understandably miffed, he supposedly made a few phone calls and sold his entire inventory and equipment in about a week, leaving the prospective buyers holding an empty building.

There was no reloaded ammo vendor at the Reliant show. It is questionable whether Rucker's, Texas Munitions, and Houston Cartridge can take up the slack from losing T's. I was also told the Collins of Collins Cartridge was gravely ill.

Desert Eagle. I dont shoot it often and if I have to buy ammo retail then it wont be shot much at all. Roy had it for .75 a round, retail on the net is running almost twice that with shipping. I have about 50 rds left.

I guess we are all going to have to adjust to the vacumn created in this situation...

Texas Munitions has always (in my opinion) had a semi-friendly price war going on with "T's" when they did shows together...I used to go play them off each other just to buy a half case (loose) or so when I needed it...Sometimes Texas Munitions won, and sometimes T's won...

I do think it was pretty rotten what the buyers did to them on the whole rent thing...

Who knows...Maybe here in a while we'll see a new reload booth start pushing their wares with T's equipment they bought...

I think that would be the best thing to happen...
