I like it. I’ve always been intrigued by the “avenger” style holsters. I have an issue with traditional pancake holsters and the bulge they produce digging into my bulge; and the owb holsters with the clips/loops all on the back don’t seem to hold the gun close enough.

These seem like they would be in the middle. Holds pretty close? Does it press in hard enough to make the belt curve “inward” towards your body?

I may need to try one of these out one day.

If you want to OWB carry this is a great holster it pulls the grip of the pistol in without pushing parts out. I have Dunlops and this is a great holster for me.

Very nice. Now you need to upgrade those grips to match.

That looks great. Very nice.

However, that causes an issue for me. I'm still in search mode for a holster for one of my 1911's. Thanks to Jusme, though, the search might be over and now I'm down to two choices I didn't even know about until this thread. Traditional pancake versus this avenger style. I've tried to read a little about the differences and pros & cons. The main differences seem to be how they hold/carry the gun. Pancake closer to the body, but might be slightly more difficult to reholster, while the avenger style isn't quite as close to the body, but the grip is still pulled in some. Do I have that about right? Is that what you're seeing with yours? How does yours handle the weight of your handgun so far? I'm thinking that with a decent-good quality gunbelt either style of holster should be good. I am liking the slightly smaller avenger style that therefore takes up less real-estate on the belt.

I've not had any leather belt holsters yet and have no experience with them.

Pancake holsters unless made right can be very difficult to reholster. I haven’t found them to pull the pistol tighter than the Avenger style but the avengers need better belts. I do prefer the Avenger type holster.
