State troopers to be sent to Dallas in response to spike in violent crime

Thanks to Gov. Abbott for doing what the city of Dallas should have been able to do on its own:

What a deal for dallas- save 7 mil and have the State cover the costs to adequately police their city... and probably assume the extra liability as well. What a poop sandwich the dallas city council [still] is. :thumbsdown:

They had to do this before but folks cried it was harsh and racist. It did clear up a lot of crime though.
Gun control is like stopping drunk driving by making it harder for sober people to drive.

As long as the state withholds the cost from any funding given to the city of Dallas, I'm cool with it. If not, I see no good reason why my tax dollars should pay for the failed policies of Dallas or Austin or any other city.
In certain extreme situations, the law is inadequate. In order to shame its inadequacy, it is necessary to act outside the law to pursue a natural justice.

They didn’t like the Troopers coming in town before because the Troopers enforced the laws. The people of Dallas do not want real Law Enforcement.
