Can you buy tickets to the luncheon on Saturday "at the door"???
I'm trying to hustle my Dad into meeting me there for this event...
If not, it'll just be me, if my wife will let the leash out long enough...
TBD...I'll know for sure by the end of the weekend...
Hope I get to meet some of y'all...

Can I get a recommended schedule for what a first timer to the TSRA show should go see and do?
I plan on driving up late friday night or early on sat. Other than that I don't really know what to do once I get there.
Also - how much will everything cost?

Costs are as follows
Show costs $7 for non TSRA members, $4 for TSRA members. However, if you are not a member, you can join ($20), renew, or upgrade at the show and entry is free.
Friends of NRA dinner friday night--$30 and will get you access to the show all weekend.
Saturday luncheon--$30 and gets you access to the show all weekend
Saturday awards banquet--$50 and gets you access to the show all weekend
Show times are Saturday-9am to 6pm Sunday--10am to 4 pm
Friday dinner--6pm to 10 pm
Saturday luncheon--12 noon to 1:30 pm
Saturday awards banquet-reception-6pm to 7 pm---banquet-7 pm to 10 pm
To purchase tickets to one of the dinners call TSRA @ 972-889-8772
I have decided to use the mission statement that Charles has written as a flier for the table. Do ya'll think 500 will be enough.
Sounds like we are going to have a good showing.I hope to meet each and every one of you if my time allows.
I will be sending pm's next week to those that have responded to try and nail down some times to man the table.
If a hotel room is needed TSRA has a block of rooms at the adjoining Hampton Inn for $75 per night--Call 972-329-3100 for reservations

A couple of other ideas,
Charles said in an earlier post and I aggree, if anyone has a gun related business, they are welcome to have literature to pass out at our table.
Also, what does everyone think about name tags? I might can figure out how to print them with TexasCHLforum.com and we can write in our names and/or screen names. (if I can't figure out how my wife or daughter can)

Just an uptade on the Hampton Inn:
Al the rooms blocked for the TSRA at the discounted rate are full, I just reserved a room with a king size bed for $95.00 and there are still rooms available at regular price.
Yes, name tags help... especially for us new people on the board ! Thanks for thinking of that and the other things you are planning.
DaveT is the board name... for Dave Thompson. Will be happy to help out with the table or anything else I can do on Saturday afternoon. It's a four hour drive for me and I hope to arrive there shortly after lunch.
Looking forward to meeting you fine folks !

I made my reservation as well........at the regular price. I was also told that the block was full! oh well.....it is convenient and only a few more dollars. I am with Dave, it is about a four and a half hour drive for me, but I would be more than HAPPY to work the table after the Saturday luncheon. I am not staying on Saturday night so the earlier the better on Saturday. I really hope that we can organize things and get to meet one another. It will add a great personal touch to the forum if we have faces to go with the names.

Regarding selling on the TexasCHLforum table - I know Charles is still trying to get the CHL scholarship / funding assistance / free safety training whatever thing going - but could the table accept items to sell that would benefit the fund (or benefit the maintenance of the forum - nothing is free). I have a new Graham holster that I can't use plus some other items that are still relatively fresh. TexasCHLforum is welcome to em if it will help.
Works for me. However, I know there are some tax problems that have to be worked out. Charles said we may not be able to do the scholarships. Maybe he will jump in and give his opinion.couzin wrote

I like the idea too. I may have a way to make the scholarship work. I hope to be able to discuss it more at the TSRA meetings.RPBrown wrote:Works for me.
