Sweet. I love the shadow box idea. I was recently given a .32 Smith and Wesson. It belonged to my Great Grandfather. He was a cop in Montana and this was his carry gun. It is nickle plated and has his name engraved on the but strap. I think it is a model 2. It is a break over type revolver. I fired it back in the eighties, but never again. It too is going into a shadow box, and will be hung on the wall until it is time for me to pass it on. One of these days I will get a picture and post it.

Wow, what a nice thing to get!
I think it's a great idea to put it in a shadow box with his army pins.
You can look at them and admire them any time, and they're stored in a way that is both respectful and relatively safe.
