Need help to ID some ammo

We found a checkbook box full of these rounds. Bottom is marked W C C 5 7.
.45 ACP next to it for reference

I believe the stampings are just for Western Cartridge Co., which merged with (or was acquired by) Winchester, to be come Winchester-Western.

The '57' would indicate the year of manufacture.

I will be corrected, but they look like .308 and .45acp.

My mistake, I stuck a .45 ACP next to it for reference.

I think he is right. If that is a .45 then that should be a .308. I have a Remington 700P that I shoot regularly in .308 and that appears to be a perfect match in size (comparing it to the diameter and height of the .45).

Yep! I agree. Looks like 30-06. Case looks too long to be .308.

Man, a scale next to these would have been great...Eyeballing it though...The 30-06 looks to be a good guess...

That .45 was a toughy though! ;-)
