Dicks's Sporting Goods Ammo Sale
FYI
I fogot to post this earlier but I didn't find it anywhere else...
I bought UMC .45 at the Dicks in Frisco for $11.98 a box in the case quantitiy. It's $12.98 if you buy less than 10 boxes.
I also bought UMC 9mm and it was $6.89 a box for ten boxes or more, $7.98 for less than 10.
They had a great deal of thier hunting ammo on sale as well. I currently don't hunt, but I bought Some Federal .308 150 gr. for $4.98 a box after rebate. They have a quantity limit on some of the hunting ammo, in order ot get the rebate.
A friend confirmed that they are running the same specials at the new Rockwall location.

Just to be clear about Carlson1's post he is referring to the fact the we are going shark diving on our honeymoon, which I have been trying to convince him is perfectly safe.

Yep, I stocked up on some of the 9mm from the semi-new Dick's store in Flower Mound last week.
Seeing it for about $6.00 a bag, I mentioned that fact that deer corn was about $1 higher this year. The clerk said, although it was not indicagted on the sign, they were matching Wal-Mart's price of around $5 ...
Speaking of which, the largest "state of the art" Wally World in the country opened last week just 1/2 mile away. I was close to it today, but did not make time to stop to see what they have along the lines of guns and/or ammo ...

Hmmm.shooter1911 wrote:I refuse to buy handgun ammo from a store that is anti handgun. When Dicks first came to Frisco I asked why they don't carry handguns and the guy in the gun department said Dick's management doesn't think handguns have a sporting purpose.
I asked the same here in Rockwall.
I was told they pulled out of the handgun sales due to a lost Court Case against Walmart in Kommiefornia.
However, they are considering carrying handguns again, at least in their Texas stores....

The (part-time) clerk in the FM store was quite friendly. In fact, he said he had handgun license in Pennsylvania and wanted to try to take my CHL class on Dec. 8 ... No hesitation in setting out DCSA biz cards prominetly displaying a Glock ... We'll see how long the "corporate types" allow that to fly ...

Walmart sells Blazer Brass 45ACP $9.76 and 40 $7.96

Yep. All of 'em except the ones I go into.Stupid wrote:Walmart sells Blazer Brass 45ACP $9.76 and 40 $7.96
Since the discussion of low priced Wal-Mart ammo started several months ago, I've been stopping at Wal-Marts that I never would have shopped before. A friend called me when he found one with the low prices and we bought 34 boxes of .40.
For instance, my local WM only carries the Blazer Brass in .45acp and their price is $11.99 (which is looking better and better).
I tried telephoning and found the Beaumont store to have the cheap prices while the WM in Liberty was about $2 box higher than your prices.

Wal-Mart is very inconsistent with their pricing. I have four of them within 10 miles of me. Prices on Blazer Brass 9mm and .40 vary between $7.57 and $9.97. That's almost a 25% variation, which is nuts. If you find either of these calibers for $7.57 a box, buy all they have before it goes up like gasoline. Their .380 prices are horrible though, nearly $14, so it's best to go elsewhere, and if you find it below $11, stock up. Can't speak for the other calibers, but it sure helps to check every store and make mental notes of what your calibers cost.
