I may have asked this before but can't remember. What is a Glock switch and is it an illegal modification?

There were, for a time, illegal autosear parts available from a Chinese website that would convert a Glock 17 into something akin to a Glock 18. ATF cracked down on it, and to the extent that they were able to track down Americans who had bought them, arrested them for being in possession of an illegal machinegun. There are obviously still some out there. The ASP YouTube channel has more than one video of police being fired upon by some criminal with one of them. Cops have been killed. The rate of fire is truly astonishing. They burn through a 33-round stick mag in about 1.5 seconds.

Here’s an example:

Newsom, the esteemed amoeba, would like to use this opportunity to make Kalifornia even more restrictive.

Soro's DAs let violent criminals right back on the street and Democrats in authority are consistently allowing urban riots (which is what this appeared to be in the short video)... Newsom's Chinese buds are shipping in machinegun autosears... and somehow it's law abiding gun owner's fault again???

Crap! No I didn’t. :totap:

I’ll put it where it belongs and edit my post above accordingly.

MSM news this evening showed video of crowds running, sound in background sounded like rapid semi automatic gun fire.

Mayor said assault weapons, but no evidence presented.

Number killed vs wounded would suggest a rifle.

MSM in the same broadcast also showed horrifying videos from another part of the world. Civilians lying dead in the street. The country responsible said they were staged.

Xiden proposes a number of gun control measures to stop the gun violence. Assault weapon ban, background checks, etc. etc.

74 shots in 54 seconds or something like that. Doesn’t CA have a ten round magazine law. Looking for two shooters.

Latest info suggests they are looking for 2 shooters. Thinking is that this was a 2 person gunfight where a lot of bystanders got hit.
Stolen weapon found at the scene.

FYI - California already has background checks for all gun transfers.
They already have a ban on large capacity magazines and "Assault weapons" - whatever they are.

There is no law that would have prevented this crime.

In a statement on Tuesday morning, Sacramento Police said: 'Once Smiley Martin’s medical care has been completed and he is determined to be fit for incarceration, he will be booked at the Sacramento County Main Jail for possession of a firearm by a prohibited person and possession of a machine gun.'
