10 yo in critical condition. Homeowner taken into custody in handcuffs, but returned home st 6am. Mom and baby at door.
Happened at night 11 am. Sounds like someone stuck around to video for social media. This is popular on Tic Toc. Social media seems to also post people attempting to kick in door.
Update from national news:

The homeowner has been arrested and charged with murder.
I read somewhere the homeowner chased after the kid and shot him some distance from him and his house.
At night, but not leaving with property of the homeowner. So to me a correct indictment. His life was also not in danger.

BREAKING UPDATE: The bond amount for 42-year-old Gonzalo Leon, who is accused of shooting and killing 11-year-old Julian Guzman, has been set at $1 Million Dollars.
" Per KPRC2 / Click2Houston Investigators said Guzman and his cousins were playing “ding-dong ditch” at homes located in the 9700 block of Mimbrough.
Guzman’s cousin said they knocked on Leon’s door “several times” and ran away. The last time they knocked, they said they saw a man, described as wearing all black, exit the home’s nearby gate armed with a pistol.
Standing near a stop sign next to the house, the man allegedly fired the pistol once into the ground, raised it, and fired it again, this time in the victim’s direction.
Guzman was hit by the second shot, and he fell to the ground, his cousin said. He cried out in pain, called for help, and stated that he was unable to move. Guzman’s cousin said he “army dragged” him because he believed he was paralyzed. A neighbor rushed to help.
As this happened, Leon allegedly walked back into his home.
Authorities said investigators recovered more than 20 firearms from Leon’s home, including AR-style rifles, shotguns, and pistols."
It was also reported via Grizzy's Hood News that Leon allegedly attempted to flee when law enforcement located him in LaPorte, Texas, packed with his belongings after originally releasing him from detainment until more evidence was found.
It has also been reported that Leon is an Army veteran.”
