Good time to buy firearms…

Post by mrvmax »

I probably mentioned this before but I will reiterate. Now is a great time to buy firearms (and a terrible time to sell). I have been a home based FFL for 15 years now and this is by far the best I have seen on firearm prices. I peruse Gunbroker during the week and continually find new firearms listed, with no reserve, for under my wholesale. I have purchased 6 handguns this years that have been from 20-35% under my wholesale cost - from cheap Tristar to CZ Custom and Dan Wesson.

I have seen used handguns for less than $200. Now, nothing fancy but decent guns like the Taurus TCP, Ruger LCP and some other S&W and Taurus models. Even with shipping the prices are hard to beat. I have seen many self defense shotguns under $300, some closer to $200. Yes, there are still some overpriced firearms but deals are out there if you look for them.

I am sure that something will happen to drive prices back up, so if there is anything you want, check online and you might find some good deals. It is a terrible time to sell so hold on to what you have until prices go back up.

Of course I’m available for anyone in the Friendswood area that needs transfers.

Yes, I wish I had a dollar for every transaction we've done. I'd go out for a steak dinner. Nobody is better or more fair to deal with. I wish I'd been born rich instead of so good looking so I could afford a whole lot more transactions.
It's fine if you disagree. I can't force you to be correct.

I certainly have a few guns on my list. Probably gonna go with a silencer in January when tax stamps go to $0.

:iagree: Recently read a blog post by a FFL who recommends buying the suppressor now and asking the dealer to hold it until after first of the year. He recommends this based on the expected explosion of suppressor sales in January.
