Opera?????
Tote 9, I thought you liked Country & Blugrass Gospel. Never knew you were an Opera fan.

Ha!! I'm not an Opera fan, I'm an Opera browser. I haven't had Opera very long but I like it. I use Opera or Fire Fox. I don't care for IE at all.

sorry I'm behind the ball here on the forum, playing catch up

IE7 does cause problems with some programs also, we've found that if a computer has the SBC/ATT yahoo email/internet software installed then the internet and email functionality is hosed. Using the add/remove programs utility and uninstalling IE7 actually fixed this. We've not had any problems uninstalling.....yet....but this is MS lol.
Some of my clients automatically upgraded to IE7 and some apps stopped working or had all kinds of weird error messages.
I use it on my laptop (originally came with xp/IE6) and have not had a single problem. It all depends on what software and MS updates are installed also.

I have a HP XP MEDIA CTR. I HAVE USED IE7 FOR nearly 9 months and no problems so far KNOCK ON WOOD ( my head ).

I'm a MacBook Pro guy now and I'm not all that thrilled with Apple's Safari browser.

Any of you Mac users using other browsers?

I have repeatedly tried to install IE7, first overwriting, then deleting the previous IE program to no avail. Any ideas as to the block?

The previous version was working well alongside Firefox. But sometime you need IE to open links and web pages not written to standards.

Honestly if you are using Firefox and just want IE7 to open links then try the Firefox Add-on called IE Tab. You can thank me later

Gotcha. Might want to try it though. It works for me on pages that don't like Firefox and changes it to show just like it would in IE7.

My bank for example will not show the spot to enter my password in Firefox so I would have to open IE7 just to get to my account. Then I added IE Tab and switch it over right in my Firefox tab and it works like a charm. YMMV but it worked for me.
