Kimberly custom shop – what trigger do they use?

So I am starting to narrow my search, I pulled the trigger on a Kimber raptor the other day, and it was quite addicting. But I did not care for the scale looking strapping. I want a checked front and back strap, but did not like that on the raptor. And I really want SS as my H&K is really showing the signs from daily carry.

And a quick visit to the web sight tells me all the guns from their custom shop are from the raptor line. So I am back to the drawing board.

My question, any one know what trigger they are using in the kimber custom shop? Surly I can get a SS procarry or even a cheaper Springfield, and put the “sweeet oh so sweeettt trigger from the raptor in a different gun. (or other trigger sugestions)

Any 1911 can be made to have a terrific or terrible trigger it is up to the skill of the 'Smith who does the work. Some "drop in" triggers that take minimal work to make super sweet are Cylinder and Slide, Wilson, and Ed Brown. Any competent 1911 'Smith should be able to tune the trigger of your gun to your specs.

You might have misunderstood. Kimber makes other models such as the CDP in thier custom shop. I'm not sure about the trigger on the the Raptor that you tried, but my CDP, ProTac, and Desert Warrior all have very nice triggers.
