I have a Kahr PM9 and, unfortunately, I just can't draw it reliably from a pocket. I have both DeSantis Nemesis and Mika pocket holsters and I just can't get it to come out of a pocket without hanging up or pulling the holster out with it. I'll admit that I'm not the most dexterous person around, but I tried both holsters with several different brands of jeans and Dockers (both pleated and unpleated) and I was lucky to get it to come out 3 out of 5 times. And since my Kahr is pretty slim (.9"), I assume I'd have trouble with any automatic. On the other hand, my S&W 642 comes out of any pocket, again using either a DeSantis Nemesis or Mika, slick as a whistle every time.
I think I'm going to order and IWB holster from Mika for the Kahr and see how that works.
Does anybody else have this problem with Kahrs or any other automatics?

Trouble Drawing a Kahr PM from a Pocket

I really don't experience any difficulty in drawing it.
I do use my middle thru little fingers to flick the holster off the gun in the process.
I use the Nemisis with my PM9. I also use the same fingers Mike mentioned to help remove the holster. You might try the new Desantis Super-Fly. The material is not as slick as the nylon in the Nemisis and is supposed to hold better in your pocket. It also has an extra cover flap to make the outline more square to help with printing.

I carry my PM9 in the Mitch Rosen "Clipper" IWB holster sold on the Karh website. Very pleased with the purchase. I've tried a couple pocket holsters for the PM9 but haven't found anything that works well with the clothes I normally wear. They're fine with cargo paints or jacket pocket, but not regular dockers or jeans. If I have to pocket carry, I leave the PM-9 at home and take the R-9...

Thanks all for your help...
It isn't just the holster coming out with the gun that is the problem. Most of the time when it comes out it just falls on the ground. However, a couple of times with several different pants it did stay on the gun. The other problem is the gun hanging up in the pocket even when it slides clear of the holster.
As I stated before, I will probably relegate the Kahr to IWB carry and carry the 642 in my pocket. May also try a Kel-Tec for pocket carry as both the .32 and .380 are narrower and lighter than the Kahr.

A thought... or two.
Far be it from me to tell you what to do, but as far as your holster falling to the ground, I say: Who cares?!? Unless your holster is made out of fine crystal or has your SS and credit card numbers printed on the outside of it, why would it matter if it comes popping out? Heck, let the BG have it as a reminder not to mess with you again!
Now when it comes to the gun snagging/not coming out smoothly/etc., that is definitely an issue. All the people telling me they pocket carry with jeans..? I don't know about that. I wear a relaxed fit in my Levi's and pocket carry would not work for me. Ralph Lauren slacks/shorts (or something similar) are the best for pocket carry as they have deep, wide pockets that are ideal for fitting even larger guns, if need be.
Just my $0.02...
