Anyone have an IWB mag carrier that they like????

Post by sailor2000 »

I am very happy with my Bladetech Ultimate IWB kydex holster for my SIG P220, but don't have an IWB Mag carrier to go with it, so I usually carry a spare 8 round mag in a leather carrier in my opposite front pants pocket, which is not very satisfactory. I often have to wear a tucked in shirt and no jacket, so IWB or pocket carry are the only real options. Does anyone have an IWB single stack mag carrier that they are really happy with?

Yes, try the Galco IWB mag holder. http://www.usgalco.com/HolsterA3.asp?Pr ... iberID=242

They are really comfortable and hold the magazine firm. Very concealable.

Check out the Desantis "Tuck This" holster as it holds the gun and a spare magazine. You may have to play around with it for a little bit to find the most comfortable positition, but it works pretty well. I use this to carry my Glock 27 daily in both tucked in and untucked shirts.

Comp-Tac also has one that should be available on the website soon.
When you take the time out of your day to beat someone, it has a much longer lasting effect on their demeanor than simply shooting or tazing them.

I haven't tried the mag pouch, but I have a holster from them that is good quality. At least these are cheap and no lead time.

I often wear a tuckable Ultra Deep Cover or SkyOps and, when I do, I carry a spare mag in a cordura nylon Gerber multitool pouch.

as a rule i try and avoid holster/mag combo's... they put your reload on your dominant hand, slowing reload times and effectively causing issues with switching hands/cross drawing a mag... access is the key word when it comes to your firearm and your reload... having to contort your body, or switch to weak hand to reload is unnecessary risk IMO

I carry a pair of mags in a cheap nylon belt mag carrier I picked up at Command Post. I put it in my left rear pocket and it looks just like a wallet.
