Woman Who Shot Intruder 3 Times Talks To KNBC
"He was coming at me. He was yelling. I shot him to stop him," Teter said. "He went down. He got back up. Came back at me. I shot him again. I shot him again, and he turned around and jumped back over the fence. (He) disappeared."
She hit him three times, twice in the stomach and once in the leg. I assume it was a small caliber gun (rifle/pistol) since he got up and managed to run away. Regardless, good for her. he's been found guilty of all charges.

Poor man.

Couldn't she have just yelled "STOP" at him instead of shooting him?

I believe she should have tried to "reason" with him first.

And then the newspaper makes it even worse for this poor soul by labeling him an "intruder". I mean....he got shot for heaven's sake. He's a "victim".

Where is the compassion for our fellow man?

Teter testified against Lugo and his mother, Cynthia Brandon, who drove the getaway car during the Oct. 18, 2006, attack. Both were convicted Tuesday.

"Teter said she thinks that every woman should carry a gun."

Couldn't agree more.

Don't be surprised. We had a cop shot 6 times in the torso with a .45 and was still able to return fire, disable his assailant and call for backup, and live to be one of my FTO's. ;)

This was the money quote for me.
"I was not going to get raped. I was not going to get murdered. There was no way -- and I didn't," Teter said."

Nope If you use PM, we don't know when to show up and crash the party....
