357 Sig to 40 S&W

Post by Animal Cop »

I saw on another forum where a person posted that you could switch out a 40 S&W for a 357 Sig barrel. Can this be done or would you have to modify your gun. Just wondering if anyone can give me some information on this. Thanks in advance

Yup, just that easy. Barrels are about 120 bucks, you can use the same mags.

Most people will get another guide rod spring because of the recoil difference.

Happy shooting!

EDIT to Add Link,

I bought barrels from Tom at Top Gun a couple of years ago.

had 2 glocks and a sig that all went back and forth with no issues... even the mags are interchangeable.

Works also for a Browning Hi Power. I have an EFK Firedragon barrel .357 for my .40 HP, drops right in.

You can also get a 9mm barrel to fit in a Sig 226 that is currently either .40 cal or .357 Sig. You will have to change out the mags to 9mm but it won't take long to save enough in the cost of ammo to pay for them.

+1 they make 9mm conversions for the glocks in .40/.357 sig as well...

the 9mm isn't the most realistic representation of .40 357sig but it's definitely cheaper and close enough.

.40 XD's will also accept .357 Sig and 9mm barrels and mags.
