Sigpro 2022 Magazine release

I have a sigpro 2022 in 40 S&W,I shoot left handed and after buying the gun i noticed that sometimes when the weapon was holstered,or when i drew the weapon my index finger would bump the mag release and the mag would drop out.In the holster i sometimes found the magazine wasn't locked in as if somethng bumped the release.I was a little disconcerted by how easy the mag could get released during drawing and firing,and noticed the button stuck out fairly far.I have a dremel ,and i found out the release is made from aluminum,so i started grinding the button down slowly so as not to heat it up where it might melt the polymer frame around it and checking to make sure the mag would still release.I now have it where there is about 1/16 of an inch above the frame and no matter how i grab the grip or smack it around the magazine will not release, until i make an effort to push in the release.Until i fixed the magazine release there is no way i would have carried this firearm for self defense,but i now feel confident the magazine will stay until i want to drop it out.After the grinding the button was shiny so i took a dab of cold gun blue and turned it dark.My 1911's seem to have stronger release springs on them,but maybe the release was put in a bad position for lefties.Anyhow if anybody has a similar problem or is thinking about buying a sigpro this is somethingyou might want to check out.Steve
