Man Shot and Killed at Shooting Range

Post by Keith B »

I am in Missouri visitng relatives and saw this pop up on the local TV station. The range is about 50 miles from where I am. Sounds like an AD of his own weapon.

Seems kind of odd he was cleaning his gun at the range. Maybe it's just me but I always wait until I get home.

I occasionally have to clean while at the range when I use corrosive ammo. Of course, I that usually involves keeping the muzzle downrange, with myself not in the way, until the barrel is removed/accessible.

Maybe it was his carry gun so he was cleaning/oiling it before he reloaded and headed away from the range as it might be needed before he got home. I certainly give mine at least a casual cleaning before I head out if I have put a lot of rounds through it at the range.
