BLOOMBERG FOR PRESIDENT? SAY IT ISN'T SO

Post by ScubaSigGuy »

Channel 5 reported tonight that Bloomberg is on his way to visit Lance Armstrong in Austin and is considering running for president as an independent. His next stop is to meet with Shwarzenegger in CA.

I know it's very unlikely that he could really get anywhere with this, but it still scares the heck out of me. :eek6

He has pledged to spend $1billion of his own money on a campaign. He will certainly drain votes from someone, but who is very uncertain.

My first thought was that was his whole purpose in running, but it seems so ridiculous. He can't possibly hope to win, but he could do some damage.

I would think that if he did drain votes, it would be from the Dems, since that's kinda his leanings.

but I've been wrong before...
FWIW, IIRC, AFAIK, FTMP, IANAL. YMMV.

Isn't one liberal, gun-grabbing, womanizing NYC mayor enough?

YES!

A billion dollars could almost turn the airwaves and television screens into a complete brainwash for a week!

Pray that Bloomberg runs. His policies are all left wing. It's a sure bet he will drain more votes from the Dems than the Republicans.

I agree about his policies, but who knows what he'll say to try and get votes, and even worse who knows how many will believe him. I don't even like him stepping foot in that arena. It gives him the opportunity to make new allies that can spread his messages.
