I found the link and sent an e-mail. It was promptly (about an hr) replied to saying "it takes 4-6 wk for the info to be put in the system then your PIN will be mailed to you.

I am guessing that it will be closer to the 6 wk mark since I mailed it in so close to the holidays.

In order to login you are required to have a Personal Identification Number (PIN). All PIN’s are assigned by the Texas Department of Public Safety. If you have forgotten, misplaced or never received your PIN, please contact TxDPS via email (chl@txdps.state.tx.us) and include the following information: Texas concealed handgun license number, driver license number, full name and date of birth. Your PIN will be returned in a timely fashion to the same email address submitting the request and in the order your request was received.

40 days and STILL no freakin PIN

This is not good news for me either. DPS received my packet on 12/17, so I guess my PIN will be coming later than expected. The holidays screwed us with workers probably taking the Monday prior to the holiday so they could have some 4 day weekends.

BUT.........no pin . It seems that I missed acouple of dates on the Resident History part of my app . Well......they sent it back to me with letter telling me I was an idiot....I got it today....fixed it and sent it back today. I even triple checked it before I sent it out the first time.

I just added about another 6 wks to my process

Yes he does. Sometimes without you asking for it. I was doing pretty darn good to till now.

YEEE-HAWWW My PIN come in the mail today.

on 1-16 I recieved a letter from DPS...I failed to fill in a couple of dates on my resident history. Filled in the dates and sent it back that day.
Today...1-28 I got my PIN from Austin. 12 days isnt so bad. I was expecting more like 6wks till I got my pin. BUT...its here
