Is the Postal System really a federal agency? I thought they were a contractor to handle the mail.

The United States Postal Service is a federal agency. It is a corporation, but it's still controlled by the feds.

I went to their website should have done so before posting. It's part of the Executive branch. No wonder I get aggrivated when I have to go there. :shock:
