Gulf Greyhound Park in Houston

Post by tboesche »

Is the parking lot posted? I will be there on Sunday 3 Feb for an autocross event. As I am driving down from FW on Saturday, I would like to know if the parking lot is posted

I went there today, just to see. I had other business in the area.

When you drive into the parking lot, the first thing you run into are booths that are used to collect parking fees. They are not always manned. There were no signs on the entrance booths.

There are exit lanes to the left. Those booths have signs that say it is illegal to bring weapons onto racetrack premises according to state law PC §46.03.

I didn't see a 30.06 sign anywhere. I also checked the gates, which were open at that time.

As PC §46.03(b)(1) says that premises has the meaning assigned by Section 46.035, and that law says that parking lots are not included, I'd say you're good to go.

Gulf Greyhound Park is on FM 1764 west of I-45 in the City of La Marque. Coming from the north, take exit 15 and turn right.
