Actually - the buckmark isn't polymer.

I've had handguns since 1993. I've flipped my collection a few times - because at the time, if I wanted something new, I had to sell something.

Luckily, I don't have to do that anymore.

I've owned 5 1911s over the years. Had some sort of issue with all of them.

However, the last one I bought was a $1200 Springfield TRP. I outshot it with my P99 and a SW99 I used to have. I have a friend who had a WIlson 1911, and still consistently did better with his P99 too.

I'm tired of dealing with 1911s, and I have the 1 gun that does the best for me already. The others are just ones I like or ones I've always wanted (I plan to get a Beretta 85 soon - just a gun I've always wanted).

So, I've owned several steel (or Aluminum guns - I've had 3 Beretta 92s and a Beretta Cougar years ago) guns over the years... I have what I like right now. So, make fun of the polymer all ya want :cheers2: - I used to hate polymer guns. Now, all the guns I like are polymer (I'd like to get some more HKs one of these days)

One of the gun safe companies has had these racks at the last few gun shows at the Reliant and the George R Brown in Houston. You might check with your nearest Ft. Knox gun safe dealer.

Oops, just noticed you're near Amarillo. Doesn't help much, does it? Still, you could google Ft. Knox gun safes and see what comes up.

I just got the PX4 Beretta last Sat... It will be a few more months before I get another, unfortunately :P

I will be renting an XDsc this week - if I like it, its next. Otherwise, I'm getting a gun I've wanted for years - a Beretta 85

The pictured rack looks better than any of the wooden racks that I've seen at gun shows. I started out buying the wooden racks from a dealer that frequents the Houston shows. But the end that supported the barrels was lined with felt and would absorb moisture and could possibly rust the pistol.

I have no problem with the plastic coasted wire racks, as rust would not be an issue.

I have changed over to these, made completely of foam. Absorbtion is not an issue.

AEA's rack, if not custom made for his own selection of handguns, is made for a variety of barrel lengths. If there is no material that could hold moisture, I would be very interested in learning more.
