Even stuff that says "Made in the USA" isn't always so. You can have all your parts made in another country and as long as they are assembled in the USA it's good enough to rate the "Made in USA" tag.
My posts on this website are worth every cent you paid me for them.

Re: THINGS TO PONDER
I have no idea where American manufacturers get their steel.
Modern firearms contain alloys of molybdenum, chromium, and other metals that are not mined in the U.S. Many of them are found only in a few places in the world, like South Africa or Russia.
The only things made with no imported components might be wooden toys or hand-made cotton or wool clothing.

IIRC, some or all parts of Springfield's 1911's are made in Brazil and fitted in the USA.
And isn't the XD Croatian?

Yes, the XD is Croatian. I have yet to see an advertisment or gun review in any magazine [including American Rifleman] that states where the EMPs are manufactured. Springfield Armory - "The first name is American Firearms" Yeah right.Mike1951 wrote:IIRC, some or all parts of Springfield's 1911's are made in Brazil and fitted in the USA. If it was the Panera at Baybrook Mall, I sold the manager his CZ75b he is carrying. Sandwich was good too.boomerang wrote:At that point you might as well do a shooting range shuffle.TDDude wrote:Perhaps we can change WALLY WALK to the "ACADAMY SPORTS & OUTDOORS SHUFFLE".![]()
Carried my new 642 at Target yesterday. And at Panera. And at the grocery store on the way home. This gun is going to be great when it gets warm.
