Pretty doesn't launch bullets. On the surface, I see enough visual similarities that I wonder if the aren't mechanical twins. Kinda like the Pontiac Solstice sitting next to a Saturn Sky. One is prettier depending on who you ask but, they are mechnically identical.

This should be a step up in quality over the Kel-Tec. Only 1 oz heavier than a P3ATand just slightly bigger, yet hopefully built with Ruger's rock solid reliability. Now if they would do something about the - typical for Ruger - heavy (8 lb) trigger pull I might consider trying one out.

Reliability is my only concern here. If Ruger's version works, that will be great. A reliable, ultra-compact 380 will find a lot of buyers.

Agreed. I own a gun by both brands, and would put much more faith in Ruger over Kel-tec.

John Farnam handled one at the SHOT show, and emailed that the Ruger has a slide lock and a shorter trigger re-set than the Kel-Tec P3AT.

Anyone know if the magazines are by any chance interchangeable between the Kel-Tec and the Ruger? We already have a Kel-Tec .380 in the family, and thought about getting another, but it would be annoying to have two nearly identical guns that can't exchange magazines. I would probably stick to the Kel-Tec in that case.
