Question about ammo supply

Re: Question about ammo supply
I understand there is a limit of 25 pounds of black powder per residence or 50 pounds per retailer - for safety reasons. I have not heard of any other limits. I don't have a reference in front of me.

Re: Question about ammo supply
With the rising price of ammunition and the rate of increase over the last two years, I'm curious if anyone has done an analysis.
Could be that you could beat an investment in gold with a like investment in ammunition.
I can see the commercials now;
Attractive women with stacks of bullets on a table. Pitch would include the statement that no one has ever lost money investing in ammunition (unless of course they shoot it all), all the while, letting the shiny brass cases sift through her hands to settle with a distinctive clink into a pile of shiny stuff on the table.
You too could have the "security" of investing in this precious commodity while at the same time being able to fondle your investment whenever you want.
I think it could be a winner. I may just want to diversify a little more of my 401K by moving some additional commodities assets into my gun closet.
