NRA National Firearms Museum

Post by MegaWatt »

I am in Washington DC on a project and discovered my hotel is less than a mile from the NRA Headquarters. The Mecca of gun owners! Since I had today off I toured the National Firearms Museum. To say it is awesome is an understatement! If someone could OD on viewing firearms , it would happen here. If anybody is ever in the Wash DC/ Fairfax, VA area, you definitely should take the time to see it.

When I lived in gun-unfriendly MD it was always worth the extra miles to go shoot at the HQ's range too. When I visited the museum, they had an awesome display of Tommy Guns and another time they had the firearms from Tom Selleck's movie Quigley Down Under. If you're ever in the DC-Metro area you should check it out.

Never knew they had one. If we ever get to DC, we'll go check it out.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

All you 1911 fans should get to Woolaroc in Bartlesville, OK. Woolaroc was established in 1925 as the ranch retreat of oilman Frank Phillips and has one of the best collections of 1911s very early prototypes to present day.
