You can select the two options closest to you, or just one.

I just recommended in the other thread that we should vary the location.

I echoed VP's post in the other thread, and posted what, IMHO, was a brilliant suggestion. Ahem.
Maybe even stagger the day of the week and location. Another idea might be to piggy-back it on Saturdays AFTER IDPA. That would allow it move around, and those who wanted could meet up and shoot the morning match, then drive to the lunch. West Houston (Brookshire) shoots the 1st Saturday of the month; Thunder Tactical near Conroe the 2nd Saturday; 3rd is open, as I mentioned; and PSC in Pearland shoots the 4th Saturday. So if we pick a meeting place a little closer to central than each of those three, we could alternate every three months to west, north, and south/southeast.
The idea is that--if we do this on a Saturday--some of our Forum clan already travel to the monthly IDPA matches (some more often than others  ), and would be outside their home vicinity on the occasional Saturday, anyway, so could probably make a burger-and-chat more often than if a location rotation was in conflict with the shootin' schedule. And it would be great fun to make a half-day of it, with those wanting to shoot IDPA showing up early and maybe squadding together for the match, then taking our grungy selves over to the meet-and-eat spot...thereby assuring no "Guns at Cafe Annie's" expensive lunches because the IDPAers would be wearing their vests and looking like fly fishermen.

I'm with others that trying it on a weekday would make it a rare thing for me.

I suggest that you post a separate thread for a specific shooting event.

BTW, Liberty and I will be at PSC on the 24th.

I wasn't lobbying for a specific shooting event.

What I was attempting to point out is that if this is to be a Saturday thing, it makes no earthly sense to move it around--if that's the decision--in opposition to the location of the IDPA shoots. The two are independent; however, a lot of Forum regulars--and Moderators--already travel to three different corners of the Greater Houston area on three different Saturdays of the month.

When I originally posted the thread I was thinking of a weekday lunch. I don't have a problem with Saturdays though, heck, make it a Saturday morning breakfast.

I agree that a Saturday would make it easier for me...

We could do both.

It would be hard for those that don't participate in IDPA to know the exact time, since we don't even know exactly when we finish. (We simply go eat AFTER we've finished shooting.)

Weekday lunches are good for some. Post-IDPA lunches are good for others. Some here may be able to do both.

I generally associate Houston with losing my lunch. :biggrinjester:

I like the idea of a Saturday morning breakfast. It'll give me an excuse to dust off the bike. :woohoo

I guess. If someone proposes a date, time, and place, I'll go if I can. However, I am not in Houston frequently these days.
