The gun show was PACKED TODAY. We had to park out on the back 40. I don't know what's up -- maybe the possiblity of a Democrat going to the Whitehouse? And the other amazing part - most people were buying, not just browsing. The lines at the tables to get paperwork was just crazy.
We saw a few good deals - but we weren't in the market for a gun. We mainly went over because we didn't have anything else to do. I got a grip sleeve which was the only gun-related item we came home with. The rest of our gun show score consisted of getting a used DVD - Sling Blade, Fosforos got a new Maxpedition wallet for $5.00 (which really is a steal), and we came home with 5 boxes of Girl Scout cookies.
Girl Scout cookies at a Gun show. Family fun at it's best.
It was a fun day and didn't cost us an arm and a leg for a change!!

Yes, we're planning on being there. Fosforos is going to an IDPA Safety Officer class at our pistol club on Saturday so we won't be able to make it to the Rodeo show till Sunday.longtooth wrote:And next week is the TSRA show at the Mesquite Rodeo Arena. Hope to see yall at the CHLforum table.

How neat! I've never seen them at gun shows in the Houston area. I hope we run into some Girl Scouts soon; Mars & I have been craving thin mints.MrsFosforos wrote: Girl Scout cookies at a Gun show. Family fun at it's best.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
