local news on Castle Doctrine

Post by smyrna »

The local 5 o'clock carried an ABC news story about the new Castle Doctrine Law in Texas. Much of the story dealt with the Joe Horn case. It was a pretty neutral story that left with the question raised if the Castle Doctrine Law applies to defense of someone else's property and said Joe Horn would go before the grand jury.

So what's the latest with Mr. Horn? When will the Grand Jury hear the case?

I am not sure of Mr Horn's current status. However, I did see the story on Good Morning America. They did not give a full review of the situation on the news, and I felt that Bill Weirs comments at the end of the story were somewhat anti-gun. In my opinion, the story as presented represented a bias towards anti-gun.

What I saw was carried by a local affiliate, not ABC news; so I'm sure I saw an edited version. I can only imagine how Good Morning America put a spin on it.
