Water/ Police/ Fire station 30-06 posted Ennis Tx

Post by ZARASTER »

Ennis TX Ellis County,
I went to pay my water bill today and as I was driving around the building to the drive thru I noticed the Front door of the building was posted 30-06 in both English and Spanish the building next to it is the police/ fire station and they were also both posted. There is no other business in the buildings. I do not think there is a court there and I know voting is not done in the building. This is not legal? Is there a way they can get by with this?

A 30.06 sign on a city building is not valid.

It doesn't matter if there is a courtroom in the building. In that case, you are supposed to inform yourself that it is a court and not enter it with weapons, same as a school.

About all you can do is comment on it at a city council meeting or write to the city attorney. You can find numerous essays online about how law-abiding CHL holders are and how "no guns" signs do not stop criminals.
