Re: AMMO PRICE INCREASE @ ACADEMY COMING

Clerk at Walmart in Lewisville told me a couple of weeks ago that one guy had been coming in quite often, checking on inventory of Blaser Brass, then buying all they had. He said the guy had bought over 75,000 rounds of .45 and 40,000 of .40 ...

I was in new mega wally world in Highland Village yesterday and picked up a couple more boxes of Win. value packs in 9mm. $18.47, IIRC ...

For a while, there was a guy selling Blazer Brass on either TFL or THR in ten box lots at prices only slightly above the cheap Wal-Mart prices.

I wondered if someone was reselling WM ammo.

Otherwise, we need to acquaint ourselves with this gentleman!

I got the latest Academy catalog and for Monarch 9mm the price is 7.78 (was 7.59). This is a only 2.5% increase. Similar for the 22lr ammo.

According to their website today, Monarch 9mm brass is now 8.79 per box. A 13% increase... Prices are changing so often, the printers can't keep up! :mad5: :eek6 :banghead:

When I went to Academy last night, the 45 Monarch was over $2 more in the store than on the web site.
