Tell her there is absolutely nothing "lesser or girly" about a 9mm.

my wife is partial to my H &K P7. She is pretty darn accurate with it, alarmingly so! try a small frame weapon that she is comfortable holding. When shooting the lack of group can be inexperience and improper sight picture, but many times there is also the factor of improper grip, unable to get a proper grip.

Tell her there is absolutely nothing "lesser or girly" about a 9mm. It is cheap (compared to a 45), fun to shoot, and a legitimate carry caliber.
The 350 pound officer that I work with carries a 9mm.

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.
