Need a tractor? Don't go Green!

Post by KBCraig »

John Deere doesn't want anything to do with firearms.

Some of you may be familiar with NM Gun Collector Software, written by Clay Pryor. He's on a collector mailing list I subscribe to. He contacted John Deere about the possibility of offering his software along with their safes, for inventory purposes.

Here's the response:

Clay Pryor: Good morning. Thank you for your inquiry and interest in John Deere.

However, there are several categories that John Deere has made a conscious decision to stay out of. One of these categories is firearms. As such, we are not in a position to entertain any endeavor that would associate our brand with any type of firearm, whether it be a handgun, a rifle, or a collectable item.

Sincerely ............ Sara Wallarab, JD Agricultural Division

So, the official John Deere position is, "Thanks, but no guns or gun-related stuff!"

Except... did you notice that Clay was interested in selling his software with their safes? Those would be these safes:

John Deere safes

Lotta guns there.

I don't see any association with firearms?

I think they need to box up all of the firearms related things shown, put my address on them and send them my way. ( they could even send safe and all)

It's a good think that they are staying away from gun related sales. As such thry should derive no profit from the sale of these non gun related items. All monies from sale of these non items should be given tho women's shelters or to help kids.
