I just traded in a used Sig 1911 for a new Kimber 1911 - both stainless - and what you say about the quality just isn't true for me. The Kimber is a MUCH better gun than the Sig ever was. At least, that is my experience.

Being a Sig Man...a 229, 239 and wife's 232 ...love em all. But, recently bought a 1911 EMP from SA totally sweet and it's taken over as daily carry over the 239 now. Grouping on the EMP totally sweet..mine in 9mm...think my wife will want ot steal it from me...she's got some bad allergies at the moment..so missed our last range visit.
Pulverized the 10 spot on a silouette the other day, effortlessly.
...Now if the guys at the end of the range would stop running back to his bag with his .44 to reload...waiving it all around...his friend with a 9mm XD had same really bad range discipline. They had no idea what they were doing....sorry for getting off subject here...but it was really scary till I went and got he RO....he kicked them outta the house!

Love that EMP...quality , quality with no FTFs at all...UMC and WWBs and pure Remingtons 9s..give a test drive!

I don't see many posts for Colts. I have a Lwt Commander and a GM XSE. Both are great guns. I used the XSE for my CHL test and shot a 249 out of 250 with it! You might not think that's anything to brag about but it was teh first time I had shot in two years................. Remember, If it's not a Colt, it's just a copy!
