door alarms

Post by Venus Pax »

We went to visit some friends in Rayburn country. They have these alarms on the door that they turn on at night. If the door is opened, they make a loud, piercing noise. I was suprised at how well you could hear them all over the house when we would forget to turn them off in the morning.

I asked them where they got them, and they said, "The dollar store."

And to think that I was limiting my purchases there to pencils and greeting cards. :???:

The NRA & TSRA are a bargain; they're much cheaper than the cold, dead hands experience.

I have a friend who is a widow and on a fixed income. Looked into a professional alarm system. Monthly fees were prohibitive. She stumbled across these little alarms too. She's very pleased with them. Sure, they have limitations... but they certainly are better than nothing!

Yes, they can be used on windows, too. Or maybe it's a similar model.

I have a piece of rental property, and one of my former tenants was gracious enough to leave these behind on all of my property's doors and windows. Of course they left in such a hurry that they didn't bother to either disarm any but the front door nor to let me know what the code was. :mad5
Remember, in a life-or-death situation, when seconds count, the police are only minutes away.
