Back from Washington

Post by tboesche »

Well we have made it back from Spokane safely. We left Thursday at 9:00 am Texas time and drove til about 2:30 AM Texas time. We stopped in Cheyenne Wy. and spent the night. We left Cheyenne at 8:30 am Texas time and pulled into my drive way in Crowely at 10:45 pm. Luckily we had no opportunities to see how other states LEO handle out of state CHL's We generally ran 80-85 mph. Of all of the places we stopped, I only saw 1 no gun sign. It was in Wyoming and was basically a gun buster type sign. It said something to the effect of.."in the intrest of safety please leave guns out side" and it had a picture of a rifle with a slash across it. Strange. All in all a good but long trip and it is good to have my daughter home for a while

Whenever I see a sign like that, its an invitation for a Robbery, telling the Criminals, "Hey, come on in, Law abiding folks have left their Weapons outside, Rob me, easy score".

In Wyoming a rifle w/ the slash through it would tell me that hunters needed to leave their rifles in the truck. Have no effect on handguns.
