Knock down power of a 40?

I am sure that many of our folks on here will get real scientific on this issue. I don't. I believe firmly a well placed .22 will kill you just as dead as a well placed .40 or .45. The .40 or.45 just makes a bigger hole so the blood loss happens a tinge quicker. I have seen lots of folks shot (ex cop) havent seen one get shot and go flying out a window as the Clint Eastwood has caused in his time..
