Greetings, fellows - I return after a long absence to ask the forum in general, a question:
I have come into posession of a .32 caliber, 7-shot revolver of uncertain origin. The only thing that I can be absolutely certian of is that it is a .32 cal, 7 shot revolver, and it has the word (or partial word) "Guard" in a diamond just above the left grip, and around the diamond it says "Firearms IMP EXP" and "MIAMI FLORIDA".
I have a clear serial number and everything else - just can't get the full manufacturer's mark.
Has anyone ever heard of this mark before?
Some of the suggestions that I've had today are 'Guardian' and 'Guardco' but I haven't gotten any straight hits on either one of those.
Thanks, in advance,
S.

I am scared of empty guns and keep mine loaded at all times. The family knows the guns are loaded and treats them with respect. Loaded guns cause few accidents; empty guns kill people every year. -Elmer Keith. 1961

I don't recall any connection between R.G. and F.I.E. other than both were importers of low end guns. R.G. failed in 1986 and F.I.E. failed in 1990.
F.I.E. imported revolvers made by Arminius, although I'm not sure Arminius was printed on the gun. Those included a model 532TB, .32 S&W, 7 shot, 4" and a model 732TB with a 6" barrel. There was also a 2" offered in .32 S&W, but capacity is not specified.
I found no mention of 'Guard' anywhere.
History is spotty at best. Any chance you can post a photo?

".32" what? There are several ".32 caliber" chamberings.
