DUNCANVILLE - Officers covered the lawn of a Duncanville home Tuesday afternoon as they investigated the shooting of a suspected burglar.

Authorities said an armed man broke into a home in the 300 block of Partridge Run. When officers arrived on the scene after receiving a 911 call, a man was found shot in the abdomen, authorities said.

The Duncanville Today newspaper reported that the shooting victim was possibly the intruder, who was shot by the homeowner.

No information has been released on the shooting victim's condition.
Tonight the news said the homeowner "chased" the suspect down the street before shooting.

Investigating?????? Geezzzzzzzz

How long does it take to find out who owns the house? And it seems to me that the homeowner (shooter) was the victim and not the scum that was shot! When will they ever get it right?????

It appears from news reports the homeowner chased the suspect away from her property before shooting the BG. What sounds bad is the victim went back in the house, came back outside, and then chased the BG. I hope it works out better than it sounds.

DUNCANVILLE - Officers covered the lawn of a Duncanville home Tuesday afternoon as they investigated the shooting of a suspected burglar.

Authorities said a woman called 911 after she heard a man breaking into her home in the 300 block of Partridge Run.

When officers arrived on the scene, they said they found the suspect shot in the abdomen on the lawn of a nearby driveway and a gun in the yard of the woman's home. Authorities said the woman shot the would-be burglar.

"I looked out the window and there were people yelling and screaming," said Wallis Young, a witness. "Then, the lady in green ran back inside, got a gun and started running down the street."

The shooting victim was taken to a nearby hospital. Neither his condition nor his identity have been released.

Yep, but of course especially initial reports from the media are often far from describing "the totality of the circumstances". Let's hope the BG was in there long enough to have taken some property that she needed to recover by Immediate pursuit,

This country would be a better place if every burglary ended with the criminal being shot.
