Engraving/Etching

Post by tboesche »

I am building an AR-15 and have a CMMG Lower. The right side of which is completely bare. Anybody know of an engraver that could safely etch something on the side of the lower for me. Prefferably in the Fort Worth Area?

Someone on here posted a pic of someting on their AR. It's not engraved, it looks like a little metal piece that's epoxied on or something. The company that makes them has tons of different designs. I think the one on here says, "Infidel" but I'm not sure. I don't even remember who posted it or where it was, so I couldn't search for it. It was pretty cool looking though. That might keep you from having to engrave the metal unless you just want to. Maybe cheaper too. I'll look some more and try to find it. Maybe the guy who has it will recognize what I'm talking about and post also.

FOUND IT! Go to http://www.gripplates.com and look at those. It's in the "for the ar-15 folks" thread.

Infidel, the punisher logo, and a few others are done by the lower manufacturer, spikes tactical.

they are working on getting a new engraving/coloring laser rig setup and they will be able to do custom stuff for everyone.

Those grip plates are pretty neat though....
