Shooting in "My Hood"

This happened Saturday night a couple of streets away from my house. It makes me so mad that this type of stuff happens in a nice, suburban neighborhood. I guess that we have to make plans to move. After Katrina this area has gone downhill. Maybe buy some land and make my own little "compound" . Does it really have to come this? http://www.click2houston.com/news/16451080/detail.html

I made a similar post on another forum and the out of state owner called me racist for insinuating that the gunshots I started hearing in my neighborhood could have involved some Katrina trash as I was unable to post their birth certificates or something similar to back up my statement. We Houstonians know how our neighborhoods have changed since Katrina.

At least a dozen people wound up leaving that board or getting thrown off in the ensuing hub-bub. Sorry, but I don't need documentation to know about the flotsam that drifted our way after Katrina and I've met plenty of homies here who were also concerned about how their neighborhoods were going to change.

BTW, for the last three years I've spent 6-8 hours a month giving historical lectures on racism, hatred and bigotry, so the label of calling 'tollah a racist didn't wear very well. Almost two thousand people have heard my talks. (Ping me offline if you're interested in more info.)

Does it matter what part of 1960? Its all trash from 45 to 290. Since Houston took over Willobrook we have an increase in gangs. Bloods, Crips, latin Kings, WSC. I had a buddy get held up in December of of 1960, the cops told him if you travel anywere on 1960 you need to carry. Its really bad Around 1960 and Eldridge .
