Helped a neighbor today--UPDATE

Post by RPBrown »

My neighbor (Susan) got her CHL today. 79 days mailbox to mailbox.
Her and the wife have now gone to the range. Took a count on my guns and ammo, all in tact this time.
She in turn, as part of our deal, helped a freind of hers take the class when she got her tax return back.
I do know she reads this site often but don't think she has joined yet. Still trying to convince her to join.

Good for you and Her, that’s pretty much how I got my license

My Best Friend (from high school) and I got his Dad a gift certificate for a CHL Class, for Fathers day one year. It was really an under handed way for my friend's Mom to force him to get his license. He liked to stick a pistol in the car if he knew they were going to be coming home to an empty house after dark. But he didn't think getting the license was worth the trouble and felt it could be used as a back handed gun registration. After the class he was glad he went through with it, "if for nothing other than to learn the laws", especially the truth behind the "2 Counties" law, which had been his primary justification for having a pistol in the car, of course that just meant he couldn’t use that as an excuse anymore.

Anyway, after my friend and I turned 21 his Dad bought us both CHL classes for Christmas.
