Taurus 24/7 Pro

Post by Wrightwing »

I went to the Ft Worth Gun Show last Saturday, looking for a .40 for myself & a small revolver for my wife. I picked up a Taurus 85 Ultralight .38 Special and a Taurus 24/7 Pro. I took the 24/7 to the range at Bass Pro Grapevine on Thursday to try it out. The first 90 rounds went fine, felt good in my hand. It took a little while to get used to the long trigger pull. Round 91 FTE, and stuck in barrel. Slide stuck open about 3/4 inch.

When I got home I managed to extract the shell but the slide was stuck, it would not move at all. Gun is now on its way to Taurus in Miami.

I figure 30 days to repair, & 30-60 days left for CHL :banghead:

That's odd.

I have a Taurus 24/7Pro in 9mm. The only problems I've ever had out of it was with Monarch Ammo. I've only shot CCI Blazer or WWB with it since and have had no problems in 2000+ rounds.

Well, Taurus finally sent my (new) gun. They received the defective one one June 16, and decided on July 23 that it could not be repaired & they were going to send a new one. After 4 weeks of one excuse after another I faxed a letter to the CS manager, it shipped that day. Only 9 1/2 weeks :banghead: I will take this into consideration on any future purchases.
