felt tip pen on back of passport?
i took the class this past weekend and the instructor didnt specify to use a felt tip pen.
so i (the whole class) wrote my name with a regular ball point pen.
will this affect the process of me getting my license?

Re: felt tip pen on back of passport?
We had that same question in our class & the instructor told us it didn't matter. When we did our fingerprints, the guy signed the backs with his regular ink pen too.
Re: felt tip pen on back of passport?
What about signing the photo that gets taped to the "Passport Photo Holder?" The pink sheet says not to sign, but the instructors had us sign both photos. Does anyone forsee this being a problem?
Thanks!

Re: felt tip pen on back of passport?
My neighbor had his CHL delayed because he signed the photo holder instead of the back of his photo. He had to submit a signed one at that point, and his 60 day issuance window timer was reset back to zero, but he received his completed license a couple of weeks after that.thelurker wrote:What about signing the photo that gets taped to the "Passport Photo Holder?" Are you refering to the black line at the bottom of the page? It's my understanding that is for your signature, which will be on the ID itself. Is that not correct?

Re: felt tip pen on back of passport?
My neighbor told me the issue was with a missing signature on the back of his passport size photo itself, not the signature line on the application form.thelurker wrote:Are you refering to the black line at the bottom of the page? I was told the Felt Tip kept indentations from forming on the front side of the picture from pressing down with a ball point.
Re: felt tip pen on back of passport?
Yep. I think that's the only real factor. Sharpie Ultra Fine Point pens are primo for this purpose.getnit1 wrote:I was told the Felt Tip kept indentations from forming on the front side of the picture from pressing down with a ball point.
