New shooters

Post by Kalrog »

This has been a great week in my neck of the woods with getting new people to go shooting. A coworker of mind set up a range day for lunch this week and the response was so overwhelming that it had to be split into 2 days! The experienced shooters and firearm owners were split between both days - I went today and dang that is a good day when you get new people shooting! I helped teach 4 people who had never fired a gun before. Yesterday they had a similar number - one of them was my direct boss. There were some pictures taken yesterday, but we didn't get any today.

The plan is now to do this every month with a happy hour following. SWEET!!!

Awesome, the more education we can get out there, the better. People tend to be irrationally scared of things they don't understand.

And the key would be to go to happy hour after shooting :cheers2:

:iagree: I think it's a great thing you are doing. Let the experienced help guide the novice always emphasising SAFETY.

I am retired now so I have no contact with co workers but I am a member of another site and I have tried to do something similar over there but the problem is that with everyone having such different work schedules and lifestyles it is most dificult to get people together. It is a problem that has no solution that I am aware of but I'm still workin' on it.

I don't wear a hat anymore since I'm now completely bald but if I did I'd be a tippin' it to you sir. :tiphat: Keep up the good work.
