need suggestions on Raffle!

Post by ctxpta »

I have been chosen to choose and do a raffle for my local organization and need suggestions on brand and type AR everyone would be interested in a chance to win. Budget is about $1000. I will also take suggestions on future items. Thanks in advance for your suggestions.

Guns are always a personal thing in my opinion but a Bushmaster Carbon 15 Model 4 Carbine would be something I would buy a ticket on. You might be able to get one at cost from a local dealer if you advertise that you got it from them.
What is the raffle for?

Definitely a Bushmaster, Panther Arms, Rock River Arms, or Stag Arms rifle. All of these have been extensively discussed on http://www.ar15.com.

I'm looking to get a RRA upper and pair it with a Spike's Tactical lower myself. For those who don't roll their own AR, the last two names will not be familiar.

If I were entering a raffle for an AR, here's what I'd want:

The seem to run around $1000

So, what's this raffle? Do I get to enter?

I can't post a picture of it, but I think the Texas M4 from Bushmaster would be unique enough to get interest. The bad side is you have to go through GT Distributors to get it, I think. $879 though, so you would have a little left over for the transfer if you need it.

That's wicked! =-D

Think we found a winner! Toss in a couple of magazines or a nice sight system? A badge replica? The possibilities grow the more I think about it. Must be off to bed...

Why an AR15? They don't have the broad apeal of a good shot gun.
A shot gun can be apreciated by hunters of varied disciplines and by the self defense folks. While some like the AR15 for varments like Coyote that is a specialized

We did a shotgun last year and I wanted to change it up a little this year. My reasoning behind the AR is to get a firearm many people would love to own but can't or won't pay the 800-1000 to purchase it. Many people will gladly pay $10 to get a chance to win a "sport" gun who otherwise wouldn't spend money on it. Isn't that how the best raffles work? Having something many people want but wouldn't otherwise spend money on? Don't worry, I will be a part of the Masonic Lodge for many many years to come and hope to do something a little bit different each year.

Are we allowed to do any raffles on here? Make it so only one ticket per person, limited number of tickets to cover the cost of the rifle plus any shipping or FFL Transfer fees. =-o
