As you see, my issue isn't so much comfort as it is concern for my gun. When disassembling my 1911, I find drops under the grips and inside the mag well of the frame. When I say drenched, I mean drenched.Re: Summertime

I no longer wear any belt rig during summer. I used to, but field stripping a 1911 after every day of drenching it with perspiration gets old pretty fast. I also won't wear a belt rig if it's too hot to make also wearing an undershirt or T-shirt comfortable. My most common carry during summer in a 642 in a pocket holster.
Occasionally, I will wear a fanny pack containing a 1911
They have some Russell brand T's at Academy that look and feel like cotton that wick away sweat also. They are not the shiny, itchy kind that you referenced. Pretty cheap to $5.95. They are not high dollar but they do not get heavy when you sweat in them like a regular T. Check em' out.Carry Big Stick wrote: I will have to try some more of the moisture wicking shirts. The last one I got made me itch terribly when I got hot, maybe they are better now.
Thanks, I will have to go check that out today.bigolbigun wrote:They have some Russell brand T's at Academy that look and feel like cotton that wick away sweat also.
