I'm wondering if any of you folks have seen this dvd series? I'm thinking about ordering it and just fading the heat from the wife on the expenditure :)
I can't imagine it being BAD info given who it is, just looking for feedback and opinions.

Re: JEFF COOPER'S DEFENSIVE PISTOLCRAFT TAPE SERIES
will most certainly do a review but to post it would be a copyright violation, not to mention hurt the estate of Cooper himself i'm sure.DoubleJ wrote:You gon' YouTube it when yer done?
Re: JEFF COOPER'S DEFENSIVE PISTOLCRAFT TAPE SERIES
For 60 bucks, I think I'll order a set myself!
However, I do want to throw in a caveat. Since I don't know whether you're looking at it primarily for instruction or as Cooperism-plus-instruction, I'll risk some flame by noting that Coop's videos were done almost 30 years ago, and based on craft he developed years before that. Its absolutely the foundation of "modern" pistol craft, but the instruction itself is no longer completely modern. Even Gunsite teaches some slight differences nowadays…or at least makes allowances for slight variances.
So there may need to be some give-and-take in your interpretation of what Coop teaches. For me, for example, one of those elements would be his unfailing preference for the Weaver stance.
But it's still something I want for my library. Thanks for posting it; I wouldn't have thought to go searching.

I knew you were jokin :) No worries, and I apologize sincerely if I poked a rib :)DoubleJ wrote:Easy there, tiger. mostly it was a joke.LeadPadawan wrote:but to post it would be a copyright violation, not to mention hurt the estate of Cooper himself i'm sure.

Jeff Cooper is pretty amazing. If you haven't picked up his Principles of Personal Defense, you should pick it up and treat it like the Bible. ;-]
