da/sa guns

i recently purchased a p2000sk da/sa v3 with decocker on it
im not too familiar with the da/sa
are there da/sa guns without the decocker?
and if there is now do you carry one in the chamber and decock it for DA carry?

If I understand your question correctly, yes there are da/sa guns without a decocker. The CZ 75Bs are an example of one that I own, and I know there are plenty of others. If you want to carry it da/sa instead of cocked-and-locked, you have to carefully lower the hammer manually while pulling the trigger. Understandably, that makes some people nervous, so a pistol with a decocker is probably a better choice for them. Off hand, I don't recall what the H&K variation 3 is. I have a couple of H&K 45s V1 which have both a manual safety and a decocker, giving you the choice of carrying cocked-and-locked, or da/sa using the decocker.

thats how i thought it was done but it seems unsafe (to me) to do that
i tried holding the hammer down with my finger and pulling the trigger (even though i have a decocker)

Mr. Decocker is our friend. As much as I like the CZ75 I won't have one because of the lack of a decocker. I can see no reason to have a DA/SA that won't let me safely lower the hammer for carry. Second strike is no option for me because by the time I realize I could just pull the trigger again I've tap, rack, banged. Too long shooting 1911s. I really like DA/SA autos for carry but, only those with decockers. BTW - - - just decock and turn the safety off - - - one less thing to remember when the chips are down.

I tend to agree, although I know there will be others who do it routinely and are very comfortable with the method. I gradually transitioned from single action 1911 pistols to da/sa after I bought my first H&K with the dual-function decocking safety.

My USPc has a decocker, which is a good thing because I can't seem to get my hands on an ambidextrous safety for it. I would carry it cocked and locked if I had the safety (like I do my 1911s), but since I'm left handed and I can't get a safety for it, decocked is the only way I can carry it.

My guns a beretta and a p95 both have decocker/ safety I've decocked a thousand times and still find it unnerving to have a hammer slamming home on a loaded gun when I'm not intending on shooting it. Still I can't ever imagine carrying anything other than a sa/da with safety/decocker.

It doesn't have a de-cocker, because it is Single-Action. There is no option to fire it Double-Action. Cocked and Locked is perfectly safe in a 1911 style firearm that hasn't had its safeties tinkered with by an incompetent gunsmith.
